OUR STORY
Back in 1988, our founder, Randy Chabot Sr., found himself jobless due to structural changes in a business he had served for over 15 years. He and his wife, Joyce, saw this challenge as an opportunity and started a small business out of their garage in Sterling Heights, MI. Soon after, their four children, Randy Jr., Tony, Lorri, and Joe, officially joined the business along with Mike Tillman; all remain active leaders at RSC today.
Through 2005, operations were based in Michigan and Northern Ohio. By the mid-2000s, the closure of one of our largest customers, Farmer Jack, created another challenge that was transformed into opportunity. When a client in Maryland needed support, Mike Tillman and Randy Chabot Jr. hopped in their trucks and moved their families out east to meet the demand.

In 2006, under the leadership and support of Tony Chabot as CEO, Mike Tillman (President) and Randy (COO) were empowered to expand and establish permanent operations on the East Coast. Lorri served as CHRO during this time, caring deeply about preserving family culture and nurturing the foundation for our continued success.
After 2015, the company experienced further remarkable growth under the leadership of CEO Joe Chabot. The company branched out into refrigerated warehouses and light commercial customers, expanded from 60 employees to more than 500, and from serving 3 states to 17 states nationwide.
Many families have made RSC their home throughout this time and with Randy Sr.'s guiding principles, we have created a community of consistent problem solvers who ensure our customers can maintain the freshest and highest-quality products no matter the challenge. Since our foundation, we have perpetually worked to train, mentor, and educate ourselves to be the best mechanics and administrators in our field. From the Chabot family garage to a national corporation, we are proud of what we have built together and excited to see how our partnership could make each of our stories more extraordinary. If you should have any questions on how RSC Mechanical can help you maintain your equipment and facilities, call us today.
